WHITESNAKE: DVD Update

August 22, 2005

WHITESNAKE frontman David Coverdale is scheduled to hold a "conference call" with various business partners later today (Aug. 22) to discuss the status of the group's first-ever concert DVD, "The Rock & Roll, Rhythm & Blues Show Live", which appears to have once again been delayed due to undisclosed "business issues."

"Believe me, I want this bugger out as much as anyone," Coverdale said in a recent posting on the band's official web site. "The release has been compromised by others — not the band or I. I will hopefully have some news (I pray it will be positive news). Incidentally, no one has seen any of the footage as yet. None has been made available to the press or any 'reviewers'. I offer my thanks for everyone's patience, which I know must be wearing thin. I know mine has."

The DVD, which was shot last October at the Hammersmith Odeon in London, was supposed to be out at or near the start of WHITESNAKE's summer tour, which kicked off in late June. Unfortunately, the producer suffered a heart attack, which delayed work on the project.

WHITESNAKE will tour Latin America later this year with JUDAS PRIEST.
